A dynamic site is better described as a catalogue site. This site is ideal for companies with many products or services for sale. Whereas with a static site you would need to create a page for each product or service, with a dynamic site you link the website to a database with your products and services in it. This way the user can search through your catalogue and display the results. This is actually a cheaper option than a static site if there are a large number of items in the catalogue as you only need a couple of pages to find what the user wants to browse through and display the results.
